High School Counselors
There are many resources that can help you better advise your students in the areas of financial aid, scholarships and debt management.  If after going through this material, you need clarification or have follow up questions, contact our office at askaid@email.arizona.edu or 520.621.1858.

Educational Materials:
You can order for your office many different educational brochures, posters, bookmarks, and CD’s. Topics include the benefits of a college education, financial aid, and debt management.  We listed the items we like, but there are many others you can order that you might like better.   All materials are FREE of charge.

Link to instructional sheet of how to order materials.

Our web page:
We work hard to keep our web page up-to-date with useful information for our students and their parents.  Much of the information can also be used by High School Counselors.

We are most proud of our podcast series entitled, “OSFA on the Air” This is an audio file that you can listen to though your computer.  The series consist of twelve shows that cover topics including FAFSA 101, Types of Financial Aid, Parents Guide to Financial Aid, and what happens during the Opening of School. We encourage you to listen and to tell students and parents about the podcast series.  Knowing this information can ensure students receive the best financial aid package, receive more scholarships, and get financial aid in a timely manner.

How to Apply

Knowing how and when to apply for financial aid is important. We explain the entire process.

College Goal Sunday
If you need help with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we can help.   Every year financial aid administrators throughout the United States help students complete their FAFSA’s.  In 2008, this event will be held on February 10th.  For more information and locations, visit www.collegegoalsunday.com

Scholarships

Scholarships are every bit as free as grants and we believe students should apply for as many as possible. Be sure they check this web page often as it is updated on a regular basis.
